I have been an artist for as long as I can remember. I began my professional graphic design career when I was 24 with a degree in Communication Graphics and a Minor in Illustration. Having grown up in and around the military, I had always been fascinated with Tattoos. Throughout my life, there have been multiple times that I considered a move to tattooing but being a single mom did not lend itself to having much extra cash around to invest in new supplies.
As they tend to do, my son grew up and fulfilled his own childhood dream by joining the military and becoming a Green Beret. It did not take long for him to get his first tattoo, and from the moment the needle hit his skin, he was hooked. I was really impressed with his tattoo artist, Max Ray, and we often talked about my own desire to get into tattooing. After a couple of years of back and forth on the subject, my son finally called my bluff and bought me my first tattoo kit for Christmas. And the rest, as they say, is history!
Being the perfectionist that I am when it comes to my art, it was no surprise to my family and friends that I started tattooing on practice skin casually at first, for the first year and a half, treating it like a hobby or just something fun to play with on occasion. But when I began to figure out the medium (and in doing so, feeling that this could be my true calling) opening a shop of my own became a REAL possibility. I decided to really kick it into high gear and spent a solid six months practicing every day, and the results spoke for themselves. I was already producing tattoos that were far above average from what I'd seen other artists in my area doing, and even today I am still discovering new ways to pull off various effects. Since I have never failed to master an artistic medium I WILL MASTER MY TATTOO MACHINE and then the sky is the limit.
I'd like to thank you for supporting my dream and for accompanying me on this new and exciting phase of my artistic journey. I look forward to you all becoming clients someday VERY soon!
