I have been an artist for as long as I can remember. I began my professional graphic design career when I was 24 with a degree in Communication Graphics and a Minor in Illustration. Having grown up in and around the military, I had always been fascinated with Tattoos. Throughout my life, there have been multiple times that I considered a move to tattooing, but being a single mom does not lend itself to having a lot of extra cash around to invest in new supplies. There is a reason they call artists "STARVING ARTISTS"... ART SUPPLIES ARE ALWAYS EXPENSIVE.
As they tend to do, my son grew up and fulfilled his own childhood dream by joining the military. It did not take long for him to get his first tattoo, and from the moment the needle hit his skin, he was hooked. I was really impressed with his tattoo artist and we often talked about my own desire to get into tattooing. After a couple of years of back and forth on the subject, my son finally called my bluff and bought me my first tattoo kit for Christmas. And the rest, as they say, is history!
I have been tattooing casually for about 2 years now treating it like a hobby or just something fun to play with on occasions. But when I began to actually figure out the medium, and the feeling that this could be my true calling started creeping in, opening a shop of my own became a REAL possibility. I decided to really kick it into high gear about 6 months ago, I'm far above average in regards to my skills as a tattoo artist from what I've seen other artists doing, and I am still discovering new ways to pull off various effects almost daily, but I have never failed to master an artistic medium and I WILL MASTER MY TATTOO GUN and plan someday soon to have my my own tattoo shop here in Crestview, Florida.
So for now, I'd like to thank you for supporting my dream, and for accompanying me on this new and exciting phase of my artistic journey. I look forward to you all becoming clients someday VERY soon!
